This is a partnership between universities and colleges and the U.S. Marine Corps. Its purpose is to:

  • Help honorably discharging Marines continue their education;
  • Identify those Marines that might qualify to apply to institutions;
  • Present these young men and women to the University Admissions
    Office; and,
  • The partnership will ideally secure “guaranteed acceptance” for at
    least a couple of the qualified applicants at colleges & universities.

The U.S. Marine Corps has teamed with many universities to allow a good number of Marines and Sailors to be accepted directly, without competing against other applicants. The Marine Corps and Navy will send some great service members to participating universities, with both academic potential and superb leadership skills, who will make a contribution to their campus beyond just being a good student.

Eligible Active Duty Marines and Sailors with scores above 70 on the AFQT and above 115 on their GCT should call (910) 449-9748 or visit www.leadershipscholarprogram.com for more information.
