Family Services

Community Counseling
Our mission is to provide mental health services to the active duty and retired population and their families. The Community Counseling Center is staffed with licensed therapists who provide counseling services on topics that include, but are not limited to: Individual/Personal Problems, Substance Abuse, Marital/Family problems, Step Family issues, Parenting/Single Parenting, Separation/Divorce, Anger Management, Child Behavior problems, Stress Management, Sexual Abuse, Challenges of Adolescence, and Pre/Post Deployment Issues. We also provide services linked with the Family Advocacy Program, for domestic violence and child abuse issues. Group and individual treatment is available for men and women who have been victims or offenders of violence in their relationships. Professional Victim Advocates provide a variety of confidential services for men and women who find themselves victims of violence. Group treatment is also provided for children who have witnessed violence in their homes.

Exceptional Family Member Program
EFMP provides assistance to family members with special medical, emotional, physical or educational needs, before, during and after relocation required by change of duty assignment. The EFMP coordinator advocates on behalf of families and provides information on resources.

Marine Corps Family Team Building
Marine Corps Family Team Building was established in December of 1998 as a result of the merger of AC/S Human Services, AC/S Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Base Education. Several separate family-related entities with similar functions were combined under the direction of a Marine Officer to unify their efforts. Our programs vary from pre-deployment briefs and Key Volunteer training to religious retreats. Though diverse, our focus is to build a strong bond between the service member their family and the Marine Corps.

Personal Readiness & Community Support

Personal Readiness and Community Support
Personal Readiness and Community Support Division supports unit commanders by providing information and guidance to service members and their families.  The goal of this support is mission readiness, improved morale, and retention.  This is accomplished through personal services concerning relocation, transition assistance, retired affairs, and Program Managers who act as liaisons between Marine Corps Community Services and the Command.

Career Resource Management Center has been established to provide Military Personnel and their family members with guidance, counseling and assistance in exploring their options for civilian employment.  The Resource Center provides job search assistance at no cost to active duty, separating, recently separated and retired service members and their family members.  Employment-ready workshops on a wide variety of topics, job fairs, computerized listings of jobs, computers for typing resumes, applications and skills inventory programs and a resource library are offered.  Family members are encouraged to attend all seminars and workshops.
