Camp Special Time was created to provide respite care for special needs families and incorporates fun-filled, interactive activities for the children, while being supervised by trained professionals. Camp Special Time is operated through a partnership effort by Camp Lejeune's Marine Corps Family Team Building; Children, Youth and Teen Programs; and, community organizations that include: UNCW School of Nursing, UNCW Recreation Therapy, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, and Cape Fear Community College's Occupational Therapy Program to name a few. Camp Special Time is available to all special needs children of active duty, retirees, and civilian employees.

EFMP provides assistance to family members with special medical, emotional, physical or educational needs, before, during and after relocation required by change of duty assignment.
