Relocation Assistance

Assisting military families around the world make a smooth move to and from Camp Lejeune.

Personal Readiness and Community Support provides relocation assistance to military members and their families. The Relocation Office offers numerous items and services at no charge. Call 449-9704 for dates and times of specific services.

What we provide:

Welcome Aboard Packages - Provide information on all aspects of a military installation. Welcome Aboard packages can be requested for military installations worldwide. A library of packages from other DoD bases is available. Videos are also available on all Marine Corps installations and various other OCONUS areas.

Loan Locker Program - Loan Locker Program is designed to provide the basic essentials for service members waiting Transportation Management Office delivery of their household goods. Our loan locker is a FREE service for 30 days and we offer: Baby items such as strollers, high chairs, portable cribs, Kitchen items: dishes, pots/pans, utensils, Small Appliances: coffee makers, toasters, irons, Others: laundry baskets, ironing boards, sweepers, etc. Contact one of the two loan locker offices at Russell Marine & Family Services Center, Bldg. 40, 910-449-9704 or Reception Center, Bldg. 60, 910-451-1055.

Welcome To Okinawa Brief - Provides an informative overview of the process and procedures involved to make a transfer to Okinawa a little less stressful. Information is provided on cultural aspects, area clearances, passport requirements, packouts, travel and pay options, Okinawa COLA, and overseas housing allowances.

Making the Right Move - This seminar provides information for personnel making a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) ensuring they are advised of all authorized entitlements. Subject matter experts from TMO, Disbursing, Passenger Service, Housing Office, Exceptional Family Member Program, and Career Resource Management Center provide instructions on the proper process and procedures for a military member to follow in order to receive their full benefits. A computerized road atlas and database program (automap) designed to assist military and family members plan a trip by taking the best possible route. The program will produce the quickest, shortest or preferred routes.

ABC's of Buying and Selling A Home - Provides consumer education on buying and selling a home, learn about mortgages, interest rates, qualifying procedures, VA information, and a reference library with books giving the pros and cons on buying and selling.

Sponsorship Training - A one and a half hour session designed to train military sponsorship coordinators from all commands throughout Camp Lejeune . The training consists of the definition and role of a sponsor, and resources available to a sponsor.

Youth/Teen Sponsorship Program - "Kids in Touch with Kids," a program for school age children (ages 6-18). Provides a relocating youth or teen the access to a peer at the new duty station who will answer the concerns about the new area.
