Central Area Recreation Center, home of the Single Marine Program (SMP), is located in Building 62 on Lucy Brewer Road, across from Bonnyman Bowling Center off Molly Pitcher Drive. Sidelines Sports Grill also shares the building.

A variety of services are available to Active Duty Marines, Sailors and their guests 18 years or older. Central Area Recreation Center offers a variety of entertainment options, including big screen and overhead TVs, pool tables, foosball, ping pong and board games that can be checked out. Newly released movies can be seen in our Mini Theater. The Rec Center has a gaming area, which includes Xbox 360®, PS3™ and Nintendo® Wii™ game systems with all the newest games. Our computer room has 16 desktop computers, 21 laptops, a printer and free internet access. We also offer free Wi-Fi in our Wi-Fi- lounge, along with all the comforts of home such as comfortable couches and complimentary fresh-brewed coffee, hot chocolate and hot tea.

During football season, we’re the place to be with NFL Sunday Ticket™. Sports fans will also enjoy UFC®, ESPN GamePlanSM for college football, March Madness®, NHL®CENTER ICE® and MLB EXTRA INNINGS® … all FREE!

SMP Council meetings are held monthly at 1500 on the second deck of the Rec Center. We also provide free Munchies & Crunchies the first and third Wednesday of every month starting at 1800 and don’t forget the monthly birthday celebration -- everyone is invited!
