Archery

Information

*The Camp Lejeune Archery range is open to all personnel authorized aboard Camp Lejeune. The range has 9 fixed, known distance targets. The shooting point for these targets is a well covered, cement base with bow racks and tables. Our known distance range is also equipped with lighting for shooting in the evenings. If you are interested in shooting unknown distances, our Archery trail features several targets that are placed throughout the trail at variable distances. Additionally, we have three towers to shoot from that add a little more challenge to the shot and assist with improving your treestand accuracy.

*Broadheads and crossbows are prohibited on any portion of the archery range.

*In addition to open shooting, the Camp Lejeune Archery Range hosts 3-D Tournaments January through August. This is a great way to spend the day with family. Twenty 3-D animal targets, ranging from small turkeys and alligators to mountain goats and a Velociraptor Dinosaur, are setup for the tournament. Shoots are setup professionally for the serious 3-D shooter. The personalities always make our shoots fun and friendly competitions.

*September is hunting season. The range is open, but 3-D tournaments are put on hold until January. A special Toys for Tots shoot is held in mid December.

*Prior to Bow hunting season, a schedule for Deer Management Unit (DMU) qualifications will be posted at the range. For hunters to legally hunt DMU areas aboard base, they must pass a proficiency test at the archery range. The DMU qualification schedule will be posted at a later date.
